Assistant Coaches work under Head Coaches to ensure that the players, equipment and facilities are well organized.  They assist the Head Coach by completing the following duties:

• Schedule daily practice sessions including individual and team practices
• Train and prepare student athletes for sports competition
• Teach skills, techniques and strategies for team play
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of student athletes
• Adhere to rules and policies established by the athletic department and the Virginia High School League (VHSL)
• Inventory and maintain all athletic equipment and facilities
